Will AAA Tow A Sprinter Van?

AAA may be able to arrange towing for a Sprinter, but coverage depends on the regional club, membership plan, vehicle classification, use, size, and the recovery required. Do not assume a standard personal-auto plan covers every cargo van or Sprinter RV.

Confirm the vehicle’s eligibility first

A privately used passenger van, commercial freight van, and converted motorhome may be treated differently. Ask your AAA club about the actual vehicle, including GVWR, loaded weight, height, wheelbase, and any dual rear wheels.

A tow operator needs more than “Mercedes van.” Explain the drivetrain, dimensions, condition, and whether the wheels can roll. A tall camper may require different equipment from a small passenger car.
